All Storms Food Drive I Kendall County Food Pantry

KENDALL COUNTY HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

If there is one thing we have learned by doing business with helping a community or individuals rebuild, is that the community itself is extremely important. One of our duty as leaders of our communities is to be there for those in their times of need, and as always during the holiday season and cold winter months this is even more crucial for some. One of our local community partners the Kendall County Food Pantry is once again revving things up as we approach these holiday seasons, and this year we are very proud to be collecting on behalf of them for their annual Holiday Food Drive. From Tuesday November 21st until Friday December 15th you can can drop off any food donations to our office at 1011 W. Ogden Avenue Naperville, IL.

The requests for donation are pretty common and straight forward, you can find the whole list of donation guidelines on their donation page here. The majority of items accept are canned goods including canned fruit but extends to all non-perishable goods like cereal, dressings, sugar, cooking oils, spices, and most anything else that comes in a sealed package or can. Although the focus this time of year is food, they gladly accept other items that are necessities needed for many families. Any sort of clothes, towels, bedding, shoes, coats, and in general in tact clothing items are openly accepted at the pantry. Unfortunately they do not accept electronics such as TVs, microwaves, and stereos – they do accept furniture with special arrangements.

If you are in need of some assistance this time of year their FAQ page is quite helpful in reading before you go:

How often can I receive food?

You may receive food on two Thursdays per month.  We’re open every Thursday from 2 to 6 PM and clients may choose no more than two visits each month.  Seniors, veterans, and disabled clients are served between Noon and 2 PM.

Can we get clothing each time we visit the pantry?

Yes. Our clothing department is open the same hours as the pantry and you may choose clothing during your food visits.

With each day we get closer and closer to that dreaded Chicago winter, which means time to get your roof done is almost out. While we still offer most of our other services during the winter months, roofing in particular is held off until the warmer months in the spring. Call us today [630.541.5913] to schedule a date in the spring to get taken care of, or even if you need some interior work done in the mean time. We wish everyone the absolute best this holiday season and an adventurous new year.
